The tradition of power factor management and automatic power factor correction

The automatic DPFC power factor controllers line brought Microidea a seat at the table in the world of green energy and power factor management since 2009.

These appliances read phase shifts / absorbed load voltage in real-time and, through a dedicated algorithm, switch on and off capacitor banks to maintain the system's power factor within the limits intended and set by the National Authority.

The great readability LED displays are still largely employed because of their simplicity, cost-effectiveness, and reliability.

Power factor re a step up to green economy for all. Miroidea products are developed for high accuracy and to be reliable even under large amount of working hours. The idea behind this project was to achieve a new milestone device with a competitive price. 
The balance between features, reliability and price level made it a perfect solution for energy efficiency managers who need a precise power correction, maintaining a levelled power factor under demanding applications.
Microidea power factor controllers reduce the inducted phase shift normally created by industrial applications such as: welding machines, HAVAC systems, solar panels  and eolic implants, etc.

The DPFC controller is designed to employ the linked capacitor banks at their maximum efficiency, balancing the insertion number and the insertion total time.

Thanks to its advanced algorithms automatic power factor regulator can maintaining a high class performance at true power form all electrical systems. 

It features auto-detection of the capacitor banks and can operate in the four quadrants, so it can perform also in presence of power generators such as eolic, solar implants and such.

Over time, these versions acquired a reliability and robustness grade so high they are also valued by OEM companies and switchboard attendants.

How to keep electrical power dissipation under control:

When reactive power is under control the total amount of power consumed by the plant decrease to energy star levels.  In high currents systems the lost energy can be a problem because of the costs of larger equipment and wasted energy. Power factor controllers can be the best solution to obtain a low power factor throughout the entire system.

They are available for mono and three-phase networks and in the 96mm-wide and 144mm-wide versions, with an only 62mm depth; built in 4-6-8-12 steps versions, this controllers cover the entire need of the traditional power factor industry.

The 144mm panel-mounting version is equipped with TTL port, while on the 96mm version is optional.

The 96mm version also provides a proprietary communication protocol for local management, besides than Mod-bus RTU protocol for interfacing more complex systems.
